All Ends have Beginnings

This photo series deals with the overplayed retro aesthetics of an almost broken relationship. The heteronormative image of beauty is deliberately provocatively overplayed and it is shown that superficiality often takes precedence over emotionality in our time. The honesty of the emotions depicted nevertheless lends the series a narrative, documentary style.

The impression of lived life

Older people radiate a great deal of wisdom and every wrinkle, every movement tells its own story. The first picture inspired me to stage and continue this series. Henry, of Jewish descent, managed to escape the Holocaust and flee to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of setting up his own record and music studio. He presents a very strong emotion, which is underlined by his pose of perseverance, strength and peace, which is reflected individually in the other images.
